RC4-1/130 is a RC type surge suppressor designed to reduce the maximum overvoltage peak value and to limit the high pre-damping voltage frequencies that occurs on the control circuit when operating a contactor. The opening of a contactor coil can causes high voltage surges of several kV that can cause interferences and damages to sensitives electronic in the installation. The RC4-1/130 can operate une control voltage within 50 ... 130 V AC 50/60 Hz. The RC4 surge suppressor is mounted directly on the AFC contactor, either on top or bottom, and is including the coil connection terminals.
