The Soft dPAC licence is an optional part of EcoStructure Automation Expert runtime licensing. It is an optional runtime licence required to deploy an application to either Linux and Windows Soft dPACs (unlimited instances). It is suitable for up to 4,000 controlled signals. This multiplatform software defined automation runtime combines scalable control virtualisation and IT compute capabilities. It is a native binary (Windows) or scalable container-based (Linux) IEC 61499 runtime that supports Modbus/TCP, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, open IP comms and DLL linking (Windows). The system requirements are x86 / ARM architecture, RAM > 128 MB, Storage > 16GB, Linux Debian or Ubuntu LTS release and Docker runtime v19.03, Windows 10 > v1909. EcoStruxure Automation Expert is a new category of software defined automation, enabling next generation integrated architectures and Industry 4.0 solutions.
