Function: Communication according to the IEC 61850 protocol can be conveniently parameterized with the configurator. To enable this, the CODESYS V3 development environment must be extended once with the WAGO Telecontrol Package. Users can create the IEC 61850 object structure directly in the configurator or import it from an IEC 61850 SCL file. The resulting configuration can be re-exported in SCL format for integration into an IEC 61850 client system. This saves time during engineering and helps avoid configuration errors. For online communication, the IEC 61850 server supports (un)buffered reporting in MMS* format and GOOSE* publishing. This license activates the IEC 61850 protocol on the server side. It enables the creation of gateways for protocol conversion, e.g., reading data from protection devices via IEC 60870-103 and forwarding it to supervisory control systems using IEC 61850. Key Benefits: Create gateway applications to transmit data from local I/Os or from other protocols to a higher-level IEC 61850 control system Forward control commands from a supervisory IEC 61850 control system to protection devices via GOOSE publishing, IEC 60870-5-103, or DNP3 Note: Additional software licenses may be required, such as the WAGO IEC 60870 Master or DNP3 Master. Usage: The license is registered via WAGO Upload and loaded onto a device. No further installation steps are required. Technical Data: See the product manual “Configuring the IEC-61850 Protocol.” *MMS = Manufacturing Messaging Specification *GOOSE = Generic Object Oriented Substation Event
