Function: The IEC 60870 protocol communication can be conveniently parameterized using the configurator. To enable this, the CODESYS V3 development environment must be extended once with the WAGO Telecontrol Package. The configurator sets up IEC 60870 objects while configuring data exchange to the PLC application or I/O modules. Import and export functions in CSV format allow configured data to be transmitted to other engineering tools. This license activates the IEC 60870-5-101 and -104 protocols on the slave side. It enables the creation of gateways for protocol conversion, e.g., reading protection devices via Modbus and forwarding the data to a control system using IEC 60870-5-104. Time synchronization of telecontrol substations (slaves) can be performed via the IEC 60870 protocol using object 103, or alternatively via (S)NTP. IEC 60870-5-101/-104 information objects can be used to monitor the direction of single, double and step messages, as well as bit patterns, counter values, and normalized, scaled, or floating-point measurement values. All information objects can be transmitted with or without timestamp. This also applies to information objects in the control direction. An IEC 60870-5-104 slave can simultaneously maintain up to four connections to the control system (master). Key Benefits: Use the PFC200 Controller as a telecontrol substation (slave) on an IEC 60870-5-101/-104 control system (master). Create a gateway application to transfer data from Modbus protection devices to an IEC 60870-5-101/-104 control system. Usage: The license is registered via WAGO Upload and loaded onto a device. No further installation steps are required. Technical Data: See the section “Functionality of the WAGO Protocol Library according to IEC 60870-5-101, and -104” in the product manual “Configuring the IEC 60870 Protocol.”
